The Versace Spring 2018 Ready – to – Wear collection presented during Milan Fashion Week was inspired by the vision and directions of the late Gianni Versace who was killed 20 years ago this year. Therefore for the first time since being named creative director, Donatella Versace pulled directly from the iconic brand’s archives. Recreating and reinterpreted the blouses, square-shouldered jackets, leggings, catsuits, corsets, trenches, mini sheaths, maxi skirts, high-waisted jeans, logo tees, fanny packs, and jeweled stiletto boots that made the brand famous in the early 90s. At the end of the slideshow above, you will notice the old band back together as Donatella had legends, Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and Helena Christensen close out the show. Somewhere above, Gianni is smiling down saying “thank you, Sis.”
