Uniqlo and Lemarie are back once again with a wonderful collaboration of products. The clothes have all the pared-down minimalism Lemaire fanatics appreciate, with a couple fun twists thrown in. However sadly this marks the second and final time the Japanese brand is set to work with the respected French label.
This season, creative directors Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran found inspiration in French holidays of the ’60s, this resulted in soft shades of yellow and blue complement the black and white staples, while materials for the spring and summer include seersucker, chambray and oxford. Single-pleat culottes and deep-V sweaters conjure a certain sailing-in-the-Mediterranean vibe that truly are a representation of the spring/summer months and make you want to catch the next flight to Monaco. While we are sadden by the fact the Uniqlo X Lemaire spring/summer 2016 collection will be their final collaboration. At least they lit a cigar and walked out of the room with a bang.
