Last month we shared with you an interview with New York-based menswear designers SHERMAИ|PRESTOИ , highlighting the vision behind their brand. Today we are pleased to share with you SHERMAИ|PRESTOИ newest project, “HYPE.” The project serves a dual purpose of their lookbook for their autumn/winter 2016 collection and a platform the bridges the synergy between fashion and music, highlighting three emerging artists from New York City. The campaign aligns with select artists to stage free-form expression; which is synonymous with the essence of the New York scene.
Inspired by ‘‘late nights in the city’, their autumn 2016 collection features recording artist Anthony Flammia, DJ Danny Calderon and Flo Rida signee Marco Foster, while being shot by maven Keiki Bikini. The pieces in the collection consist of classic polka dot print shirts, solid colored Angora wool biker jackets and tailored pullover fleece tops in minimalistic tones. The offering also introduces the limited editionSHERMAИ | PRESTOИ ‘H Y P E .’ classic crewneck sweatshirt exclusively on SHERMANPRESTON.COM.
This is one of the few situations in when it is entirely ok to believe the ‘HYPE.’ behind SHERMAИ|PRESTOИ and the artists featured below.
The Yonkers-born and raised singer are making his wave in the music industry. Falmmia is known for songs such as So Real and collaborating with artists such as Dave East on “Velvet Sky”, he is singing his way onto your homes radios and ipad video streams. After being acknowledged by the likes of MTV, Hot 97, and Hypetrak, Anthony will be heading on tour soon to bring his raspy vocals around soulful sound to you shortly.
Mr. Calderon as he is known to some is on his way to becoming a household name in the New York nightlight scene. The New York native can be seen mixing top 40 hits with calypso vibes during his residency at places like at The Living Room in the W Hotel Times Square or during New York Fashion Week. In the next few month, you will be able to catch him at spinning a series of events at Art Basel in Miami. As well as releasing his debut album.
After singing with Flo-Rida’s IMG Strongarm imprint, the D.C. raised, and current New York resident is on the cusp of becoming the next household R&B name. Marco has performed everywhere from Good Morning America to stadiums around the world, opening for Flo-Rida. While releasing his vibrant, end of summer hit, “Candyman,” produced by DJ Michael Brun, and collaborating with the likes of TastyTreat on “sideways,” Marco is preparing to move the world to his beat.
