The Louis Vuitton Fall 2016 collection presented by artistic director Kim Jones is a celebration of Parisian style. Utility and decoration are continual themes at Vuitton, a house whose primary purpose, when founded back in 1854, was to serve. Jones infuses military references in the lineup, without renouncing for this reason to explore new interpretation of menswear, thanks to geometric patterns or Art Deco-inspired prints, used to decorate satin shirts and other desirable numbers.
Of course the bags were paramount—a new shady gray-on-black Monogram, dubbed the Eclipse, was used throughout, alongside shades of French navy and a laurel green Vuitton dubbed “Tuileries,” Making this collection a true blend of paying to homage to their craftsmanship, trunk making, past and the new influx of Parisian artistry in the French capital.
