We’re back again with our newest interview for the HFL Blogger Series and don’t worry ladies we didn’t forget about you! This time, we speak with Amy Marietta. Amy is someone we were excited to speak with because she truly is a jack of all trades. She is a content producer, creative director, stylist, model, and founder of the AM Club. Pretty much in the words of Kanye, we wanted to speak with her because her life is dope and she does dope shit.
Amy lives her life with the goal to inspire people to live their lives to the fullest and experience as much as possible. Having avoided the 9-to-5 life and hustling her way in New York City, she established herself as a creative brand and talent consultant – coordinating strategic partnerships, creating visual content for companies, and linking social influencers to the brands that fit them. It’s really a game of connecting the dots and leveraging your network.
Which we love to hear. As the old adage goes, your network is your net worth. Below we sit down with Amy and discuss what exactly she means by “aspire to inspire”, her collaborations with Dolce & Gabbana, and her high-end silk scarves & pocket squares line the A.M. Club.
I think that the way you live your life is your message to the world, so I aspire to inspire others through the way I live my life both on and off social media.

It is important to constantly be learning and absorbing more information and knowledge. There are unlimited resources out there for us to use to better ourselves daily.

HFL: You have worked as a creative consultant for numerous brands including, Dolce & Gabbana, Harrods, Glamour, and GQ. What advice would you give to someone who is trying to build a business as a social influencer/brand consultant?
Amy Marietta: I would say don’t be afraid to reach out to people and/or brands, and never stop networking. “Your network is your net worth” as some say and I’m a big believer that hard work + a solid network will help you build your business much faster.
I also recommend reading daily to keep up on the news and what’s going on in the world. You don’t want your content to be stale. Lastly, BE CONSISTENT. Don’t slack off, keep a steady flow of content.
HFL: I know it’s hard to pick just one but what is your favorite brand collaboration you have completed thus far?
Amy Marietta: Either Dolce & Gabbana or Jaguar.
For Dolce, I wore this awesome two-piece outfit that Katy Perry wore (so you know it was far from basic) for the shoot in Little Italy in NYC with Italians, and it was just such a great day. I’ve always been a lover of D&G – maybe because I’m Italian but yeah, major fan.
The Jaguar project was really fun because it was all girl influencers and we got to go to the race tracks and learn how to burn out and drive through courses with pro race car drivers. I got a certificate for it and everything – one of the best days yet for sure.
HFL: How would you describe the difference between being an “Instagrammer” and an “Influencer”?
Amy Marietta: I have more than one outlet so it’s kind of a general thing. It still feels a bit odd saying influencer but “digital influencer” is the new term rather than blogger because you have a handful or two of various outlets including your website, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, Vine, LinkedIn and Pinterest. There’s a lot so using a general term is easiest I guess.
HFL: What fashion trend are you most excited about seeing and trying this Fall?
Amy Marietta: Silk scarves because I started my new line A.M. Club, of course 😉
HFL: Tell us more about the A.M. Club? Why did you decide to start it and where do you see it heading in the future?
Amy Marietta: I launched A.M. Club to bring my love of creative collaborations, art, architecture, culture, music and travel to the world through high-quality silk designs while simultaneously giving back. Silk scarves and pocket squares are timeless luxuries that I want to be passed from generation to generation. I’ve always wanted to do more and create something tactile with a strong purpose. A.M. Club is an aspirational brand that promotes inspiring artists and stories. I want to create a community that cares more about pursuing their dreams and living a full life. A.M. Club is meant to be a movement through medium.
HFL: You frequently travel to New York, L.A., and Miami. From a stylistic perspective which of these cities do you enjoy visiting the most?
Amy Marietta: Mmm cannot ever decide – I love them equally like children but here are my favorite qualities of each.
Miami doesn’t even feel like America – it’s basically an extension of Cuba. Vibrant colors, Reggaeton music, over the top blingage, etc. My favorite place in Miami is Faena Hotel – the lux detail of the interior décor is the most stunning.
LA is very homey and laid back with a community that is all about creative collaborations. Streetwear is blowing up here so my next season will definitely have more unisex pieces.
NY is 24/7, go go go, $$$. I always feel extremely motivated in NY as soon as I land. As far as NY style – NY inspires me to create more pieces that can be worn every day so a lot of black and whites. I love the tall buildings and architecture of NY along with the interior décor of the hotels, restaurants, and bars.
HFL: Finish this sentence, style is…
Amy Marietta: Whatever you want it to be. I think style is a way to express yourself without speaking, as they say. Do you.
